jejujohn says, "A Pew Research Study shows that people who rely on fox news as their primary new source are among the most misinformed on basic current events." Then links to a blog by an editor for salon.com and contributor to numerous left wing blogs.
Sorry jejujohn, a wise man once said, ... "trust but verify", and your post didn't pass the smell test. Further, your link states PIPA conducted the research, not PEW, and no link is given to view the stastical data.
In essence, if it looks like BS, and it smells like BS, please don't taste it.

Here you are.
Lots of neat stats for all you uninformed fox viewers to contemplate. This is the Pew Study.
Summary of Findings: Public Knowledge of Current Affairs Little Changed by News and Information Revolutions
yes, Chris you are right I linked the pipa and not the pew study, but guess what? They both came to the same conclusion the only thing that is bs is Fox News. Sorry to spoil your day.
Bill O gets some props from the study group though, so take heart. The study is pretty interesting but also sad in that it shows how little many Americans know about current events that don't have to do with Beyonce.

Fox News Is Great
J3 do you really believe the leftist media is going to say anything good about Fox News? For years now Rush's audience has been considered the most informed in radio. Fox viewers and Rush listeners are one in the same. So the study you cite is total liberal BS, but you believe liberal BS and we don't.
The leftist media is scared to death of Fox News and will stop at nothing to discredit it. Even the Bolsheviks running for the Dem presidential nomination are afraid to debate on Fox. What a bunch of pansy asses. The Repubs debated on the Clinton News Network even though they knew they would be sand bagged.

Fox News Rules!
Are you kidding me? Is someone actually saying that Fox News watchers are NOT informed?
LOLOLOL, that is BDS at it's finest.
Again, you'd be better off talking with a cinder block than to talk with someone suffering from BDS.
Although I can't stand Geraldo, Greta, News Watch (mostly Gabler) & sometimes Fox & Friends are a bit corny (but they are supposed to be), the serious news and comentary programs are the best. The Special Report w/Britt Hume, Bill O, Hannity's America, Fox Report, The Big Story and so on... just excellent for the most part.
The MSM has ruined it's credibility with the American people and Fox News Rules because they are trustworthy and present both sides fairly.

Dodge ball.
Hey this seems like a broken record, I point out facts and you all come back and call me names. I thought I was suppose to be the emotional one.
PDuggs-
read about the Pew center a little before discarding the facts. It is a non partisan group. I did point out that Bill Orielly's viewers scored high, and the poll also says the same thing about Rush, but you were to eager to disregard there findings because of you think they are "leftist". Actually you used Rush as an example of why this study was baised, sorry why don't you look at it first before calling it leftist.
4real-
Through out some facts of your own, if you hate mine so much. Wait never mind, just say I have the intelligence of a cinder block and BDS. Also if you think fox news "presents both sides fairly" I am better off talking to a cinder block.

Do yourself a favor.
Go to Fox News on line, review the reports, and (before blasting them as bias) look at the by-lines. They are full of AP, Rueters, etc.
You may not like their on air commentators, but quit confusing commentary with news.
After all, it is you who quoted an editor from salon.com as a reliable source of information.

Chris I have watched Fox news enough to know
what kind of bias they present. As I said before why don't you look at the study I meant to link. I gave you the link

We discussed that
in private messaging.
Not upto the challenge of seeing with your own eyes?
Check out how most of their news stories are from the major wires, and don't confuse their commentary with news.

Ok Chris they use AP stories on their website.
I conceed that. The website is fine, but layed out poorly. The TV channel which it is best known for presents news stories in a highly biased way. Your right I am confusing news with commentary, because that line is intentionally blurred and crossed.
