Not for Tree Huggers--Christmas Trees!
Hello fellow evil conservatives! The past few years, Mr Evil Reagan and I have gone to one of those Cut Your Own Tree places with the little Jr. Reagan's to get a Christmas tree (I am pretty sure that they do not carry Holiday Trees). I do not know if it is the independent spirit of seeing my husband saw down a tree himself or what... but when my husband has that Christmas tree slug over his masculine shoulders, he has never looked hotter! I am already looking forward to seeing him kill another tree next Christmas! I know that makes me evil...but I am okay with that.
For those of you that like killing trees for your enjoyment on Christmas, I wanted to pass a link along to you help you find a local place that will recycle that Christmas tree for you: Horticulture
There is a little green box on the home page that says "Find Tree Recycler" where you can type in your Zip code and find a place near you. The land fills need to be saved for all the Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers that are still out there.
Anyone else looking forward to sawing a tree down next year?
Mrs. Evil Reagan

You know, a lot of people think that the bible does not talk about christmas trees, but it does. It says that it is a pagan custom for the winter solstice and it vain and in other passages compares it to Idolatry.
Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3* For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4* They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.

Torch 'em
Oh yeah. Love cutting down Christmas trees. My recycling process was to throw them in the back yard after the season ended. Then in the spring gather the neighborhood kids around and torch the tree. The dam thing just about explodes. The kids love it.
There you go again Jeffer. For an atheist you sure know a lot about the Bible. Make sure next time to use a capital B when referring to the Word of God. In one certain religion you might get death threats for being so careless and it ain't Christianity.

JP,
Wow! I did not mean to suggest making an idol out of old Christmas trees was a form of recycling. Extra points to you for creativity though!

family tradition
We kill a tree every year as well. Last year's sat in our backyard for about 3 months until we stuck it in the ditch. Oh, sooo evil!
This year we actually recycled ours - took it to the local park for the city chipper. Feelin' green.

Chainsaws and alchohol!
They have a winery up near mt. hood where they give you a bottle of wine and a chainsaw and say have at it. I know it would be better if it were a brewery, but any combination of alchohol and machines with blades is pretty cool.
